Quality assurance is one of our most important values. That’s why every Nordic Bunkies kit is backed by a 5-year limited warranty on manufacturing and construction defects, from the date of purchase.
1. What’s Covered
For 5 years from your purchase date, we’ll repair or replace any part of your bunkie affected by:
- Missing parts or hardware from the factory
- Structural manufacturing flaws in the wood components
- Hardware failure under normal use
2. What’s Not Covered
Like any wood structure exposed to the outdoors, a few things fall outside the warranty:
- Damage from improper assembly
- Lack of staining or sealing — you must protect the wood after assembly, and unsealed or unmaintained wood is not covered
- Natural wood characteristics such as small knots, minor color variation, or surface checking (see our General Terms) — these are normal, not defects
- Extreme weather events or other acts of God
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by pests, rot from standing water, or lack of proper foundation drainage
3. How to File a Warranty Claim
- Email info@nordicbunkies.ca with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos.
- We’ll review your claim and confirm whether it’s covered, usually within a few business days.
- If approved, we’ll ship a replacement part, arrange a replacement unit, or work out the right fix for your situation — whichever gets you back to enjoying your backyard fastest.

4. Keeping Your Warranty Valid
- Assemble your kit following the included instructions.
- Stain or seal all exposed wood surfaces promptly after assembly, and re-treat as needed — this is the single biggest factor in how well your bunkie holds up.
- Build on a proper, level foundation with adequate drainage.
- Keep your proof of purchase (order confirmation or invoice) on hand for any future claim.
5. Limitation of Liability
This warranty covers repair or replacement of defective materials and workmanship only. Nordic Bunkies is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use, assembly, or inability to use our products. Full details are in our General Terms.
